Horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, boat and canoe hire and mountain bike hire. For a small charge you can also be delivered and picked up from the hostel to do these activities

Wildlife

Wildlife is an extremely significant part of Loch Ossian. There were 103 species of birds counted here last year including the golden eagle, peregrine falcon, short eared owl, corncrake, crested tit, cross bill and many more. Mammals living in the area include red deer, roe deer, otter, pine marten, wild cat, red squirrell, fox, badger, water voles, short tailed voles, pygmy shrew, pippestrellebats, daubenton’s bats, mountain hare and weasel. There are also lizards, slow worms and adders, frogs, newts and toads. Trout and pike are plentiful in the rivers and lochs for fishing

Available on all the lochs and rivers for a permit charge of £5.00 for 34 hours, this can be bought at the hostel

"If you are looking to walk up a hill and aren't bothered if it is a Munro or not then Leum Uilleim,just to the West of Corrour Station, at 909m, climbed from the South ridge and descending on the North ridge via Beinn a Bhric is a really great walk with some fantastic views of Ben Nevis,the Grey Corries,the Mamores ,Glen Coe and Rannoch Moor"
