Crannog Centre
A crannog is a type of ancient loch-dwelling found throughout Scotland dating from 5,000 years ago. Many crannogs were built out in the water as defensive homesteads and represented symbols of power and wealth.

Loch of the Lowes Visitor Centre and Wildlife Reserve
Covering 98 hectares the star attraction is a pair of breeding ospreys. Red squirrels and great spotted woodpeckers can be seen from viewing windows, and fallow and roe deer are often seen from the hide.
